Pranav Mohanlal (born July 13, 1990) is an Indian actor who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. Son of legendary actor Mohanlal, Pranav made his acting debut as a child artist in Onnaman (2002) and went on to win the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role in Punarjani (2003). After completing his studies in Philosophy at the University of New South Wales, Australia, Pranav returned to cinema behind the camera, working as an assistant director to Jeethu Joseph on films like Papanasam (2015) and Life of Josutty (2015). He made his lead debut in the action-thriller Aadhi (2018), directed by Jeethu Joseph, which became a commercial success. Known for performing his own stunts and keeping a low profile away from the media, Pranav carved a niche for himself with selective roles. He later starred in Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu (2019), Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (2021), and Hridayam (2022). Pranav is also a playback singer, having sung in Aadhi, and has occasionally contributed to film soundtracks
