Kalevi Kahra was a Finnish actor with a career that spanned over four decades and included winning the Jussi Award for Best Actor in 1968 for his most highly-regarded performance as the character Adolf Halme in Täällä Pohjantähden alla (English: Here, Beneath the North Star). He served as Chairman of the Finnish Exhibition Union, the country's oldest and largest performing arts trade union, for over two decades, beginning in 1975. While most frequently appearing in comedic works, his biggest successes were in dramatic productions.
